Pluto dog trailer: Wich trailer size fits my dog?
In order to identify the optimal size of the dog trailer, you should consider the weight, height and required resting space for your dog. The trailer is intended to be stable and safe, and should therefore not be too large. If you think the trailer is a little too spacious for your dog, it can be complemented with a dog bed, blankets or similar. The Pluto M is an allround size with a weight limitation of 35 kg. Interior height is 63 cm. This means that breeds like cocker spaniel, border collie, bulldog, terrier, dachshund and similar breeds fit well. The Pluto L is a trailer for larger breeds, and the weight limitation is 40 kg for bicycling and 45 kg for strolling. The interior height is 82 cm, and the trailer is therefore suitable for breeds like golden retriever, German shepard and dobermans. Perhaps are you also bringing 2 dogs?
-
Can Pluto dog trailer be folded?
Yes, Pluto is very easy to fold either if you keep the wheels on or simply remove them to make it even smaller. Remember to take out pillows, blankets etc that are inside the stroller before you fold it.

Is the Hamax Pluto dog trailer suitable for all dog breeds?

No trailer fits every dog perfectly, so choose the size according to your dog’s measurements and weight.
-
How do I introduce my dog to a dog trailer?
It may take some time for your dog to get comfortable with a new trailer, so start slowly and step by step. Let your dog explore the trailer indoors without wheels, with the doors open and treats inside. Once your dog feels at ease, attach the wheels and practice getting in and out. Train with short sessions while the trailer is stationary before you start rolling. Only when your dog is confident should you attach the trailer to the bike and begin by walking alongside it. Then you can gradually move on to short bike rides. Reward calm behavior and take small steps.
