What is the difference between Outback Next and Outback?
Outback Next is an upgraded version of Outback with several improvements. It has four seat positions instead of three, a luggage capacity of 8 kg instead of 5 kg, a pneumatic stroller wheel with suspension and directional lock, a wider suspension adjustment range, a new folding mechanism with a lock and a replaceable outer cover. Outback is still a spacious and comfortable multisport trailer, and its all-terrain wheel features an integrated hand-operated disc brake.

Should children wear a helmet in a child bike trailer?
Yes, Hamax recommends that children wear a properly fitted bicycle helmet when the trailer is used behind a bicycle. When used in stroller mode, the trailer functions like a regular stroller, and a helmet is not necessary. If the helmet pushes the child’s head forwards, the removable neck cushion can be removed on models equipped with one to provide more space.

When can a child sit in a child bike trailer?
Children can sit in a child bike trailer once they can sit upright without support, usually at around 6 months of age. It is important that the child can sit independently and has good head and neck control.
Until then, you can use a baby seat in the trailer for stroller walks – not for cycling.

Can children sleep in a Hamax child bike trailer?
Yes, children can rest and sleep in the child bike trailer. Outback Next, Outback, Breeze and Cocoon have adjustable reclining seats that provide a more comfortable resting position. Traveller and Avenida do not have adjustable seat backs.

How big can a child be in a Hamax child bike trailer?
The maximum weight per child is 22 kg, and the maximum height is 117 cm. This applies to all Hamax child bike trailers.
