Our history
The story of Hamax began in 1958 with plastic component production on Kråkerøy in Fredrikstad. In the 60s, they developed snow sledges and mini skis. In 1981, the first child bike seat was introduced. In 2010, the HTS Group became the sole owner. With a focus on innovation, quality and safety, Hamax continued its growth. In 2016, the versatile bike trailer was launched, and quickly became a favorite among families with children. In 2023, they launched the dog trailer Pluto, an international success. Hamax builds its reputation on quality and function, with products that contribute to family time, outdoor life and an easy organization of everyday life.
